This starkly contrasting piece is meant to abstractly represent a part of the Creation. This acrylic pour is on a wrapped 16x20 canvas. The gorgeous colors hidden within; from deep green and purples, to sparkles and subtle pastels were carefully chosen to complement each other and provoke thoughts of “Light” and “Dark” being “Divided”. -
I call this Aerial View because it reminds me of looking out airplane window at the topography below. Seeing the beauty and grandeur that was created on this earth to bring us joy is always humbling to me. I love it when an art piece can abstractly resemble the awe of nature! Can you see the blooming "Grand Chief" bearded Iris. The amazing thing about an acrylic pour is that we cannot control everything about the outcome. In this case, I admit, the paint and the pour created this with very little help from me but I immediately saw a gorgeous blooming Iris. And so this acrylic pour on 7" round wood panel became "Midnights' Bloom. -
