I call this Aerial View because it reminds me of looking out airplane window at the topography below. Seeing the beauty and grandeur that was created on this earth to bring us joy is always humbling to me. I love it when an art piece can abstractly resemble the awe of nature! I love seeing the way water moves around rocks and obstacles below the surface. And the way, sometimes, you can see just beneath the surface to what created the beautiful ripples atop. This abstract art piece is an alcohol ink abstract meant to be in similarity to the free flowing jellyfish under water. love to play with textures in most of my pieces. So while this is primarily colored with alcohol inks it is considered mixed media art due to the addition of a deep layer of fabric and texturing. It is also comprised of many layers of different techniques to create depth including layers of acrylic resin. -
